New Leader to Engineering Unit

We have concluded a rather long recruitment process, having reached an agreement with the new head of our Automation Project and Engineering Unit. The new hire will succeed Jari Hauta-aho, who is retiring, and will begin in the role of Engineering Manager on Monday, March 17, 2025.

Our new Engineering Manager is Aki Ali-Lekkala. Starting in mid-March, Aki will take responsibility for the continued development and growth of the Engineering Unit, as well as leading the team.

Aki has a diverse background in industrial projects. His previous project experience includes district heating networks, power plants (both thermal and electrical), mobile device testers, biogas and LNG, water treatment, petrochemistry, and various lifting systems. Aki originally graduated as an Electrical Power Engineering engineer, but his career has since steered him more toward automation. He also has leadership experience both as a supervisor leading a design team and as a project manager for SIA (Safety, Instrumentation & Automation) entities.
